I was trying to install R5A26 and could not get it to go. So I followed some tips and tried to install the newest Nvidia drivers. I was able to download them but could not get Knoppmyth to install. Following a second tip I tried R5A16 and it went great except now it does not recognize my NIC. I ran netcardconfig and it says 'no supported network cards found'. I am not sure what to do next. Any suggestions? I am a total neub, does it show? R5A16 * AMD Sempron64 2100 BIOSTAR GEFORCE 6100-M7 512MB DDR400 40GB WD PATA 100GB WD SATA |

Yes it is. That was the first thing I checked. I ran lspaci -v and there were lots of nvidia objects unknown but no NIC. It is a realtek NIC on the MB. I checked the Biostar website and they do not have any driver updates for the NIC. |

A simple solution would be to just buy a cheap $10 card and see if that works. But I am more lazy than others. |
