Post subject: | CD won't eject after attempting Import CD |
I'm not sure if it's a hardware issue or a Knoppmyth issue or a MythTV issue... but I need help regardless ![]() New build using R5A26 (hardware is listed below) When attempting to import a cd it will fail somewhere along the way, never completeing a rip. I have changed the default format to mp3 Medium, from Ogg vorbis. I don't think it's a heat issue because I have been using putty to run xmbmon to monitor cpu temp and it never climbs abouve 38C. After failing to complete the rip, it kicks me back out to MythTV and I can go anywhere, watch tv, listen to music, whatever, just can't eject the cd. if after a reboot, I use the play cd function, I can play a cd fine and eject it and put it back in all day long with no problem, it's just after attempting to import cd and having it fail it won't eject. to this point I still haven't gotten through a full cd rip. I have been searching and reading everything I can in relation to this problem, installed xmbmon to monitor the cpu temp in case that was causing the rip failure. (should we edit the wiki to make the tiny print of "* xmbmon is now included by default with R5A12" a little larger or bold? I wen't through the whole install procedure before seeing it) ![]() Also, I commented out the /dev/cdrom and /dev/cdromhdc mountpoints as listed in this thread http://mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/viewtopic. ... torder=asc But I did not go so far as to edit the menu system and add an on screen eject button. I am a linux newb (not completely helpless though, I have gotten ndiswrapper and my wireless nic working) and I'm reading and learning a lot but I'm running into a wall here and would appreciate any help on where to look next. Thank much! |

Do you mean remove the lines completely or just comment them out using # I already tried to comment them out and that doesn't seem to have had any effect. |

Well I guess you did ![]() Since I am a newb could someone explain to me, why did those lines have to be removed as opposed to commenting them out? |
