I have a GeForce FX 5200 an have been very happy, after years of a happy myth box my tv-out out has stopped outputting. I have been using a little s-video to composite connector (actually came with my PVR250) and have x setup to as conposite. Over vacation, the tvout just stopped working. I have reconfiged to the VGA output and tested w/ monitor and all is well there. I have tried different cables. Can I have a bad board...only for hte s-video port? Maybe I should try staight s-video output. Im at a loss as to how to test and isolate the issue. Maybe I need to just get a new board |

Huhn? Just replace one thing at a time and to troubleshoot this step by step. Plug something else (like a DVD player) into the S-Video input with the same cable. If that works you've isolated it to the board. If it doesn't work try switching the cable. If it still doesn't work the problem maybe the TV. You can also go the other way by plugging the cable into a different S-Video input that you know is working. |
