I upgraded my gaming machine and have leftover parts that I plan on using to build a new mythbox. Right now my setup runs fine on an old Duron 800Mhz machine with 500 megs of ram.

My leftover parts are an Asus LGA775 motherboard with 1 gig of DDR and a fan.

Im trying to decide on what priocessor to get. I can get a 2 gig Celeron super cheap or a 2 gig Intel P4 for a bit more. I hear the P4's take gobs of power when idle which is what my setup will be doing most of the time since I never plan on turning it off. Maybe I should ditch the mother board and get a new one with a Pentuim M processor that draws very little power.

Any suggestions would be great.

If you're gonna ditch the motherboard, you might aswell get an athlon 64. Much lower power consumption than the P4.

A Pentium M setup is quite expensive (at least in the UK)
