Ok, I've got to come to you guys for this one. I've got 30.1 up and working, and it has identified all of my hardware, I -think-. The soundcard is working, and I can pull up ALSAMIXER and tink with my sound card's settings. Here's the problem - it's not RECORDING sound with live TV. Using: ATI TV wonder pro, and a HP desktop with onboard-everything-else. I believe the onboard audio is intel. I've hooked up a headphone to the TV Wonder to validate that it is producing sound ok. I've hooked up a headphone to the headphone jack on the front of the PC (i.e. headphone out for the soundcard) and I can hear the live TV signals, but only if I use the alsamixer to increase the LINE IN volume. So, the sound card is HEARING the input. In ALSAMIXER, however, when I look at recording options, I can't seem to find a way to tell it to listen to the LINE IN to record on. Is there some other program that I can use to set this? It worked in windows, so I know the sound card is capable of it, so long as the linux drivers can set it. Where do I set this? Also, while watching TV, if I press S or hit M and select program guide, MythTV crashes out to desktop. Any fix for this? |

in alsamixer press spacebar when you have the linein highligted that will set it to the capture device, then hit M to mute it so that you don't get bleedover. |

Yup, that did it. Just had to select Line In and hit Space to set it to record on that input. Also got my pc's internal mono speaker working, thus completing my first standalone myth box ![]() This issue is resolved! |
