First all lets me say these forums are great i got my box up and running 4 months ago and been running great with just searching these forums but be kind with me as I havent worked with linux that much so i might need more indepth instructions. Alright on the the problem,

I recently ocquired an old (Hauppauge 848) tuner from a system pull I did and well threw it into my myth-tv box and started it up and all was ok until after LILO where the knoppmyth splash screen normally comes up it is just a bank display on both my monitor and TV. The box still loads up as far as I can tell (wait for the HD to stop from boot up then CTRL+ALT+F1 then CTRL+ALT+DEL to restart it while I still have no video).

Troubleshooting:
Heres what I've done so far;
(works)Remove 848 card and leave pvr-500 in
(works)Remove pvr-500 and leave 848 card in
(does not work) Try using diffrent slots for both cards pluged in at same time

So I'm pretty stumped, as it dose not seem to be any of the hardware malfunctioning and my knowlage of linux is very limited any help is greatfully appreciated.

System:
MB: Epox nforce 2
CPU: Sempron 64 2600+
MEM: 512
VID: MSI Geforce 5200
HD: 300g Maxtor
TUN: Hauppauge pvr-500, Hauppauge 56101 Rev E M2 Bt848(to be installed)

Being a older card, the 848 may not be acting nicely... Is PnP disabled in the BIOS? Can you assign and IRQ for each PCI slot?
