Hey when I rund lircd it runs..then i try irw right afterwared. They both give me empty prompts. And then i notice that lircd isnt runnin anymore. Anybody dealt with this before? |

I've had this happen when lirc isn't confirgured right (you probably guessed that already tho...) have a look at /etc/lirc/hardware.conf |

I do have a VIA chipset currently on my test computer so perhaps thats where my wierdo problems are coming from. My new chip comes today for my other brand new box, which by the way has just been SITTING HERE burning a hole in my floor because the chip took the longest (2 weeks)...go figure. I'll be able to test too see if this still happens on my new SIS648 533 FSB soon enough
