Alright I figure out have to copy the lircd.conf.hauppuage file. This is how I tried to copy it: cp lircd.conf.hauppuage /etc/lircd.conf then it says "lircd.conf.hauppuage is not a file or directory" I followed the guide. I saved the lircd.conf.hauppuage file in the desktop directory, do I have to switch to the desktop directory first? If so how do I do that? What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance. |

try a locate to find files: updatedb (updates the locate database) locate lircd.conf will tell you where the files are edit: just checked it it should be /usr/local/share/knoppmyth/remotes/hauppauge/etc/lircd.conf so either use the full path, or cd to that dir first ps: you can use your tab key to autocoplete the commandline (just try it, tab or tabtab) |
