Post subject: | H 150 w/ Blaster not working with R5a26 or R5A30.2 |
I have the Haupauge 150 w/ blaster. I tried to upgrade R5A26 to R5A30.2 following the instructions in the wiki. My system got borked beyond all recognition. So, I then tried the auto install 3 times. All 3 times, the IR remote and blaster (that came with the H 150) refused to work. So, I decided to reinstall R5A26. Still will not work. It used to work when following the directions here: http://mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=6206&highlight=blaster+150 This method worked great, prior to re-doing everything. I do not understand why this is. When testing the chan_change.sh I get the following: Code: root@mythtv:/usr/local/bin# ./chan_change.sh 300 /usr/local/bin/irsend: command failed: SEND_ONCE blaster 3 /usr/local/bin/irsend: unknown remote: "blaster" /usr/local/bin/irsend: command failed: SEND_ONCE blaster 0 /usr/local/bin/irsend: unknown remote: "blaster" /usr/local/bin/irsend: command failed: SEND_ONCE blaster 0 /usr/local/bin/irsend: unknown remote: "blaster" root@mythtv:/usr/local/bin# Or this: Code: root@mythtv:/usr/local/bin# irsend SEND_ONCE blaster 0_41_KEY_POWER
irsend: command failed: SEND_ONCE blaster 0_41_KEY_POWER irsend: unknown remote: "blaster" root@mythtv:/usr/local/bin# SEND_ONCE blaster 0_41_KEY_0 bash: SEND_ONCE: command not found Prior to reboot, irw showed activity. After reboot, nothing. I also tried the instructions in the wiki to backup the entire system to DVD prior to starting this whole process, but restore function just laguhed at me when I tried it. Two more coasters. My goal is to upgrade to R5A30.2 because of the promise of frontend functionality. Currently, R5A26 is installed again, but no go with the remote/blaster. Any thoughts or ideas? Thanks. EDIT: I should add that the IR Blaster walkthrough is the ONLY tweak I've tried to do since re-install. MythWeb appears to work, giving listings etc. Also, while in the midst of following the IR Blaster walkthrough, I was able to watch Live TV at one point or another, but after reboot, it no worky. |

Related to the last post above and following the directions here: http://mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=6206&highlight=blaster+150 It says to do the following: Quote: ls -l /dev/lirc*
you should see something like this Quote: rw-r--r-- 1 root root 61, 0 Jul 30 2004 /dev/lirc srw-rw-rw- 1 root root 0 Sep 26 22:22 /dev/lircd prw-r--r-- 1 root root 0 Jul 30 2004 /dev/lircm i didnt have a lirc0 or lirc1 in mine (i have 2 pvr-150s im trying to get both working now, but my limited skills in linux are prohibiting me Wink) so lets create one, Quote: mknod /dev/lirc0 c 61 0 When I do a ls -l /dev/lirc* I get a lirc1 and not a lirc0. So, I create the node lirc0 but leave the lirc1. Will this create some confusion when it tries to access lirc for remote control functions? or anything else? Thanks for any comments. |
