Anyone go this slimline DVD-RW using KM?

I have it hooked up to a mini-itx VIA MII system and have the following issues:

1. eject problems - resolved by

2. ... at the expense of automount problems

3. Drive doesn't seem to be recognised a DVD-RW, recent versions of KM finally recognised it as a CD-RW (in MythMusic options), however MythBurn doesn't seem to be activated on my system and attempts to use the other DVD burning utility on KM options (nuv2disc?) have always ended in heartache.

-- is my drive to 'cool' to have proper drivers written for it in the kernel or something? Must I wait patiently for future releases?

-- anyone have the same drive with any pearls of wisdom to share?

-- if I have to resort to medieval/manual typing methods to burn in the meantime pls can someone paste me a 'link' to a recommended guide - i find this a very confusing topic to research
