i've read that geforce6600 has a builtin tv mpeg encoder:

- Integrated full MPEG encode and decode support Integrated
NTSC & PAL TV encoder output up to 1024x768 resolution

I have a budget tv card without encoder, and i need to change the video card.
So, instead of buying a pvr150 and a video card (what i need), if i buy the 6600, is the ecoder working with mythtv and my budget card?

No. Fine as a video card but the encoding (if any) isn't supported by the drivers.
