Hi All,

Apologies if this is covered somewhere, my searching has come up empty. Basically what I am trying to accomplish is this - I would like to have the TV volume control come through my TV speakers when using MythTV, and the volume control for MythMusic/MythDVD come from the sound card (on an Intel D845PEBT2, AD1980) through my audio amp/receiver, all using the PVR-350 remote. I understand that the IVTV driver won't allow me to control the audio through the PVR-350, at least from what I have found, so I was wondering about the possibility of configuring my Knoppmyth systems with 2 sound cards - 1 to control the volume that comes out of the TV speakers, the other for the audio amp/receiver? I haven't tried multiple sound devices yet, so I may be missing additional options in the setup, but it seems that I can only bind audio to a single source. If anyone can help point me in the right direction I would very much appreciate it. Thanks!

Sorry, I should have mentioned that I am currently running R5A22 (yeah, I know, but I didn't see the warning until it was too late!)

Why not feed the PVR350 into the line in on the sound card and then feed the sound output to both TV and amp (via splitter or whatever)? This will allow you to control either with the 350 remote.

Hi nickread,

I had tried that and it works, but then I get the audio from DVDs through the TV speakers as well as my surround speakers. Rather than unplug the feed to the TV when I want to watch DVDs, then plug it back in when finished, or muting the TV speakers, I was hoping to have 2 feeds, 1 for the TV and the other to the amp (Yep, I'm lazy!). Thanks for the suggestion though.

In that case sounds like a universal remote may be the way to go... feed the 350 direct to the TV and the sound card to the amp, and use a UR to control either myth/tv/amp depending on whats playing. Lots easier than adding a second sound card I suspect.
