I did search through and saw the ATI 8500 works for TV out if configured properly, however does the ATI AIW 8500 DV work with PVR functions? I see over at gatos.sf.net that the driver supports it and should allow for video capture, but that doesnt mean it will work with MythTV. I also see that ATI's site has drivers for ati Radeon 8500(and up) but that doesnt specify if the AIW's do video capture with that driver. Does it work with the current versions of either driver? Also are their any tips (besides don't use ATI) to getting this card work? I would buy another one but I already have this one, and dont want to spend a lot of money upfront till I can get it working.

Thanks in advance!

***Edit***
The ATI AIW 8500 DV is NOT a 3rd party company card, its all ATI.

Umm..ok, it doesnt work even though the driver at gatos says it does video capture?

At gatos they say the following:

All-in-Wonder Radeon 8500DV (Radeon200)
Should work fine with 4.2.0 or later drivers. XvImage (YUV->RGB overlay and scaling) should work fine. TV-in works in NTSC. It is expected that PAL and SECAM will be easy to made working once there are people willing to test and debug TV-in with these formats. Video capture should work. 3d acceleration is not implemented as of this writing. Firewire port (at least the one on the card itself) has been observed to work in Linux. Wireless (RF) remote control should work.

Does this not pertain to this flavor of linux? No is a bit vague, no leaves a few questions unanswered that I needed. Just need descriptive information, not generalities please.
