This is my first attempt at building a PVR. I put a PVR-350 into a older machine (P4 1.8ghz with 512mg), plugged my cable into the 350 coax input, and the hooked the box up to my router. The install appeared to go smooth. The listings downloaded, DB filled up, frontend started, etc. However, I only get 2 channels, 5 and 6 (local CBS and CSPAN). The are coming from the cable, otherwise local CBS would be on 3. But I get no other channels. Being as I'm new to this, and a relative novice to Linux as well, I'm sure I'm missing some small, but key, step.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Thanks,
Jon

Don't repeatedly post the same question in multiple subforums.

1) Cecil doesn't like it (and if you don't believe me, just ask him).

2) The people most likely to help you already read all the posts in all the forums and it annoys them too.

3) These are decidedly not the people you want to annoy or get a bad reputation with.

4) Eviltwin already gave you the correct answer to your previous posting here: http://mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=52633 Run mythtv-setup and on the 3rd page under General change your frequency set to the opposite one of us-cable and us-cable-hrc that you're currently using.

Finally, no, this is not a flame, it's rap on the knuckles and a bit of advice. If this had been an actual flame the message you just saw would have been followed by torrents of verbal abuse and the smell of burnt hair and scorched undies.
