Hi,

I am new to MythTV and first let me say that Knoppmyth really rocks.
Today I set up a Hauppauge 350 PVR with tv-out - so far no problem when watching LiveTV - i get all the EPG data on screen. But if I change back to the TV menu the screen goes black. I have to switch back to my computer screen in order to navigate through the menu. The same with my menus on the computer screen - if I watch LiveTV it goes black and I have to switch to the tv-out on my TV set. Why that switching? Seems to me that my MythTV setup uses two distinct X servers.

Did I understood something wrong? I thought the tv-out will be active in Playback, LiveTV and even in the menus?

it sounds like you have the typical ivtv black-screen-after-leaving-OSD problem; see the "revised" ivtv drivers referenced in the following post:
http://mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=804

also see the recent ivtv mail list archives,

and

Thanks wrooster - I found some help in another topic. I changed my X configuration and then it worked.

God, the tv-out quality is so amazing. MythTV just rocks.

Antaron.
