Post subject: | Quality sometimes bad on one PVR-500 tuner |
Hi folks, I'm having a problem I just can't figure out, and which seems to be happening more frequently lately. I have a PVR-500, set up as follows: --Video0>Composite0 input (cable) + Tuner0 (antenna) --Video1>Tuner0 input (antenna) ***I have Video1 set with a higher priority so it is the default tuner used. Basically, any time both tuners are recording at the same time, Video0 (whether it is recording from Composite0 (cable source) or from Tuner0 (antenna source) records in poor quality - like it's recording in the wrong format or resolution, and the result is "fuzzy" or blurred slightly. That tuner works just fine when it is recording all by itself - like when it is recording off the cable source, which the other tuner (Video1) does not get. Note that the tuners don't have to be physically recording at the same time - it's more like when Tuner0 gets used because it's the secondary tuner and something has been scheduled on Tuner1 (the primary tuner) for an overlapping timeslot. Any ideas how to diagnose this? I've confirmed it's not a playback issue - the fuzzy recording exists even when I play the .nuv file with mplayer. Thanks! Lev. |
