Does the MythTV 0.19-fixes include the fix for the DVB Nova-T problem, I would like to upgrade as I'm on R5A22 with the devel snapshot at the moment and would like to go to a more stable version, but .19 stable has problems with Nova-T's (http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/e ... ist=mythtv) Thanks. |

Hmmm I read through that post and would try a fresh install of 0.19 on a new drive and do a quicktest of Live-TV, if there seems to be any problems then just stick with what you have got. That's what I intend to do. Given that a new drive is probably less than £50, it's a small price to pay considering the time you will waste if it all goes wrong. My situ is slightly different as my current drive seems to be on the way out anyway, as I keep getting DMA timer error messages etc, and it locks up cos of it sometimes, so I NEED to put a new drive in anyway. I've backed up all files that I've modified and the database so It shouldn't take more than a few hours. If 0.19 is a retro-step for DVB users as the post suggests then it might be best to stay with what you know. If it ain't broke don't fix it. I'm not sure exactly what 0.19 offers over 0.18 |
