Ok so i got r5b7 and i finally have gotten some where with my mythbox but i am still having a hd-3000 issue. i can watch analog cable with no sound if i use the standard v4l in myth-setup but if i use hd-3000 with v4l i get no channel lock and no picture. i also noticed if i go to the dvb driver it doesnt recognize my hd-3000 as an hd-3000 i dont know what it sees it as off hand but i will find out. The last thing i am noticing is that when i can view analog cable or if i use svideo from my settop box the colors just arnt right and the picture is kinda faded. so what i am getting at is does this mean that i have to figure a way to install the hd-3000 driver? if so could some one help me out with this or point me in the direction of a guide that is geared towards linux noobies like myself. i just dont wanna go ahead and reinstall a driver if i dont have to cause i suck at linux as of right now .

if you just want regular cable find a different card. the ntsc tuner on the hd3000 sucks. The hd3000 drivers for the part labled hd3000 are not installed in knoppmyth. You need to set it up as a dvb card. This of course will only get you QAM or OTA, but not regular NTSC cable, but as I stated earlier the NTSC tuner sucks anyways, and the colors are always off as you have already found out.

just sucks that even the svideo looks messed up cause then i would just use the pvr-150 for ntsc and then the hd-3000 for svideo. maybe i should just get an antenna for this card and just get firewire on my settop and use the pvr 150 for analog.
