| Post subject: | Remote Control Setup Questions |
Hi there, I just installed the current version of KnoppMyth R5B7 and everything seems to be going ok. I have a Dell Workstation 530 with 1gb ram, 1.8ghz xeon, pvr-150 MCE and a "silver" hauppauge remote. (silver with multi-color buttons and labeled Hauppauge at the bottom, I will get a pic...) I am trying to make sure I have selected the correct settings for the remote as about half the buttons seem to work and the other half doesn't. During the setup, I was asked which remote I have and without knowing too much I selected the option that said something like "150 MCE remote". How can I go back and repeat this process to change the remote to one of the other options? I am relatively new to MythTV so I am unsure what questions to actually ask and what to post. I will head home tonight and take a picture of the remote and get an actual model number for everything and post it as soon as I can. I have found several posts relating to the 150's and the remotes but I can't tell if the current version of KnoppMyth has the newest programs and patches for dealing with this. Any thoughts would be appreciated. thanks |

from a root console/xterm lirc-reconfig.sh you may have to reboot to make the changes take effect. At the very least you'll have to restart any programs that use lirc such as mythtv. |
