Hi, I've been doing some research into producing a 'proper' remote for myth tv (ie. akin to the mce remote for mce). Would you think this would be be something peeps would want? (packaged with a recevier and drivers/install script on cd) Further to this, is there anything specific people would want from this remote? |

I think there would be some interest in this, assuming it was put together well. Not to be cheeky, but if it looks like a homebrew, people won't want to pay for it...and if it might as well be a regular TV remote, people can just use one of those. I think a DVD player remote works almost perfectly for MythTV (has the playback controls, channel numbers, volume, directional keys). |

I have a contact in a company that makes remotes in China for a number of companies. Most remotes are based on a basic set-up that you can customise to your needs. This will be a 'mythTV' branded remote with buttons and icons designed exclusively for this app. The design I've been working with has a 4-way thumb controller with central click as the main nav control with upto 32 other buttons. It's quite smart looking - I'll post a pic when I've finished playing with the design! Anyone know if there's any issues in using the 'mythTV' logo? |
