Up until recently, my sound with my External USB Audigy 2 NX has be very reliable. Lately, when I sit down to watch a recording on myth, I'll have no sound. When I try to bring up alsamixer, it says:



To solve this, I simply unplug my USB cable from the soundcard and plug it back in. Then I have to go into alsamixer and un-mute the main channel, which also seems to be set to mute when the soundcard returns from a dropout. Simple...but annoying.

Any clues as to what could suddenly be broken? I don't think it's R5B7 related, because it was running fine for a week when I first installed R5B7. I also swapped out the USB cable to confirm that it wasn't the cause, but I still get the problem with the other cable.
