I'm having trouble setting up a Prolink Pixelview All I manage to get is snow , I'm in Australia so it should be PAL I added the folling to the /etc/modules.conf Code: alias char-major-81 bttv options bttv tuner=5 and ran a moudles-update , then rebooted but the dmseg stills shows it as a type 2 tuner (NTSC) any advice on what I should do ? Card and tuner may be different. These settings work for my prolink playtv mpeg2 rev 9F. Edit ths file then run modprobe-update File: /etc/mythtv/modules/bttv0 alias char-major-81-0 bttv options bttv card=70 tuner=43 radio=1 bttv_gpio=1 remote=1 |

My PV-BT878P+(REV.9D) worked with these options: Code: options bttv card=70 radio=1 pll=1 However, I would highly recommend spending the $100 or so requred to get a DVICO DVB tuner card from ebay. The quality is soooooo much better.
options tuner type=5 |

Way back when I used that card, I had it set to card=72, and I had similar audio problems. I would get no audio for recordings and also no audio when entering live tv, but changing the channel when in live tv would get the audio going. Perhaps card=70 is not right for the revision of card that you have? Look at the big comment at the bottom of this post for a description of what I did (although the exact means of doing it would be different for a current release - you would not edit /etc/modules.conf) http://mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=1740 |
