 Post subject: failed to open the card

I'm having a problem getting a picture on the latest knoppmyth. When I do a channel scan I get "failed to open the card". If I go to Watch TV I get audio but snow for picture.
I have the plextor tv-402u, can't find much info, any help would be much appreciated.
