I need a no config (i am a linux virgin) card with tv out via RCA (can't use svideo.) the cheaper the better. |

your best bet is probably going to be a nvidia fx5200 of some sort. |

I'll second the FX5200 recommendation. Most with S-Video output come with an adapter for composite. There are also ones that only have a composite output, but I'd call that a very short sighted purchase. Get one with a DVI, S-Video (and an adapter), and SVGA, outputs. That way when you get a better TV you won't need to replace it. It'll also probably mean that the output quality will be better. NewEgg has a boatload of models for under $60 and several for under $40. Even if that's not a shopping option for you, at least you can get a feel for what models to look for. |
