I have just successfully installed KnoppMyth on a small IDE HardDrive. However I have a large SATA drive installed in the system, that I want to store all of the content on.

I cannot figure out how to get the SATA drive recognized in linux. Is there a driver I need, and if so what one, and how do I install it, and then point to the SATA drive.

I have an ASUS P4S800D mboard, and a Seagate 120gb SATA. I think the ASUS uses a SIS 876 chipset for the SATA.

Any info or tips would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

ASUS has LINUX drives for download for my SATA board. I assume they do for your board also. www.asus.com then click support, downloads, motherboards, etc.

Dunno how to use the driver, but I'll bet it comes with a readme

Unfortunately, the P4S800D does not have a driver for linux on the ASUS site.
