Anyone know what would be causing this? I'm using a pvr-150, and MythTV will not recognize the cards. |

Some searching (try "PVR150" for example) should reveal how to diagnose these cards and how to upgrade the driver if the card is being misidentified. For example: http://mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/viewtopic. ... ght=pvr150 http://www.knoppmythwiki.org/index.php? ... ngLogFiles http://www.knoppmythwiki.org/index.php?page=CompileIvtv Please search before asking! |

I had searched through those before and tried updating the drivers. Those solutions seem to all be for people who had 150's get misidentified as 250's, where my problem is that my card isn't getting recognized at all. |

Well, we can't very well help you unless you provide better diagnostic information, and the 2nd item in that list is all about how to collect that information from your log files. Given that you provided almost none with you original post, and that the misidentified PVR-150s are the most common recent problem, I'd also say it was a reasonable first guess based on sparse information and the links were both relevant and helpful. |

When trying to configure my PVR-150 MCE (type 1042) in “mythtv-setpup” I too get the error “Could not open /dev/video0 to probe its inputs.” I tried the “power off” approach, figured I’d start with an easy option, but it didn’t work. These are the other posts that I have reviewed: http://mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=9101 http://mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=9065 http://mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=9068 I followed these instructions to compile ivtv 0.4.4 http://www.knoppmythwiki.org/index.php?page=CompileIvtv I pretty sure that I updated the ivtv drivers correctly, the md5 signatures are good.
