Hi, I hope this is in the appropriate forum. I tried posting in intall but it got deleted, if its in the wrong place, please PM me and tell me where it should go.
I have a fresh KnoppMyth install (latest March iso).
Everything installed fine and records/plays dvds and whatnot.
The problem is that the TV tuner never shuts up.
It plays sound constantly through the line in/mic jack even when it is not recording or watching live TV. For example, if its sitting on a menu, or playing a DVD, or watching a pre-recorded show the sound from both what I'm watching and what the TV tuner's tuned into will be playing.
I've experimented with aumix but by turning down sound on the line-in, it turns down sound for the show being recorded, obviously I don't want that.
Any ideas, links, helpful tidbits? Thanks!
Edit: Googling around, I just read something about full duplex sound. Here's the results:
I have aumix set to record the line-in, if I mute the line-in, it records silence. I think it is muting by setting the volume to zero. Is there any way that I can set it up to keep the line-in muted but set the record volume at 100% ?
