I've been running the pcHDTV 3000 card for some time now through several of the KnoppMyth 'A' releases on my Asus mini-ATX card (3 PCI + 1 AGP slots). Next week we're moving to a community which supplies digital cable TV, so a few months ago I sprang for the Air2PC HD-5000 and swapped the cards out.

The system allows me to record, etc. much as before; however, at roughly the same time as the new tuner is first used, my on-board Ethernet stops working! 'ifconfig' shows me that there are a large number of TX and RX errors. Rebooting clears things up until the next scheduled recording; I can access the program guide et al through the Web interface, but not after a recording.

I had hoped that an upgrade to the new 'B' release of KnoppMyth would perhaps address this, but it's the same story.

Suggestions from anyone where to look or what to try to resolve this? I've made sure the BIOS is set to enable PNP, re-upgraded to the 'B' release (saving / restoring the database beforehand to avoid losing my recorded programs), etc., which have not helped. I'm selecting the generic DVB entry in the setup, as I did when I had the pcHDTV card in the system, not the more specific one for this card, since this seems to be the recommendations from various postings in the group.

Thanks!

Could the the devices are sharing an IRQ. I'd recommend disabling PnP and specifing an IRQ for the PCI slot the tuner is in (in the BIOS).
