I have a digtial box attached to my knoppmyth backend box. I cant seem to get any video from it. I have set the preset channel to 3 in input connections. Im using the hauppage 350 and it seems to work without the box. I just dont get it. It looks as if its set to the wrong channel. I have even tried frequency default to uscable and still nothing. Anyone else experience this?

do you get static or just a black screen?

I have had problems with Myth staying on the correct channel even though I have set it in the setup.

I had to use ivtvtune from a prompt to change the card to channel three.

Command

ivtv-tune -c 3

Try that and see if it works.

Ive actually found similar problems with other users on the mythtv mailing list. They have verified there is an issue with myth 0.19 and using coax connection from a digtial box. They have suggested I use an svideo connection from box so it doesnt need to preset any channels prior. I'll also give your way a try also and let you know what happens. Thx

Okay I used the Svideo input and with this you dont put anything into the Preset tuner space within the mythtv-setup and instantly my blaster changed the channel and there it was sweet video. Now im going to get the audio portion going as Svideo only does video unlike the coax for the tuner that does audio+video. I'll update this thread for everyone else. Thx guys.
