Hi!

I've just installed KnoppMyth (R5B7 auto install), and after installing I've done

/etc/X11/

sudo cp XF86Config-4.nvidia(...) XF86Config-4

afterwards the output is on the tv, just as I wanted it to be (SVIDEO). BUT it doesn't fill out the screen to the edges. How do I adjust this? BTW: Complete Linux newbie :-) Thanks

Lacking hardware info I'm going to guess you're using an Nvidia video card.

Exit the frontend by hitting escape and selecting "yes - really exit" when prompted, when you see the penguin hit Alt-X, click on the xterm window that pops up, type nvidia-settings and hit enter. The setting you're looking for is "overscan", but you should take the chance to do any other tune ups needed. When you're done Alt-M will bring the frontend back up.

Search the forum and the wiki for more on using the nvidia-settings utility.

With a geforce 2 card, you will need to use nvtv. If you search for nvtv you should find plenty of info. also, there is a post on the wiki about using nvtv. If you are in an ntsc region, you may be happy with the result, but I never quite could get things perfect for PAL playback. Probably much easier you just buy an FX5200 card. They can be obtained quite cheaply.
