I am farily new to Linux and thought building a mythbox would be a good way to learn the os. So far so good. I have been able to get a basic set up going and I am able to watch TV on my PC monitor...and I get some dark faint images on the TV. I cant figure out why I cant get anything to display on the TV properly! I suspect it may be a possible wiring problem? I have it set up as follows: DirectTV box connects to PVR 350 via S-video PVR connects to TV via (hybrid?) S-video Nvidia Ti4600 connects to PC monitor I have the audio RCA (Red White) going from DirectTV box to the TV...there is seems to be a delay as the video is not in sync with the audio. I have the most current build of Knoppixmyth. I have also tooled around with ivtv to no avail. I also have some error when configuring the frontend telling it to use the PVR350's mpeg2 encoder it says I need to load ivtv-fb and it needs to be configured properly. I have no idea how to configure it. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks |

Yes, you need the audio to go via the 350 as well otherwise why bother? The delay is because live TV is buffered for about 4 seconds thru mythtv. If you don't put audio thru you can't pause live audio, record it etc. What steps did you follow to get the TVout working?
