I was looking at top the other day and I noticed that my cpu is spending a lot of its time (~60%) on a process "kdvb-ad-*-fe-0 where * can be 0, 1, 2 or 3, presumably for any one of my four dvb cards.
Code:
top - 17:43:21 up 34 min,  0 users,  load average: 0.88, 1.23, 1.31
Tasks: 133 total,   3 running, 128 sleeping,   0 stopped,   2 zombie
Cpu(s): 10.2%us, 29.6%sy,  0.0%ni, 59.9%id   0.0%wa,  0.2%hi,  0.2%si,  0.0%st
Mem:   1015380k total,   406544k used,   608836k free,    21732k buffers
Swap:  1012084k total,        0k used,  1012084k free,   236204k cached

The process is running even when the frontend is doing nothing and even if I shutdown the frontend. Shutting down the backend will stop the process.

Is this normal?
