I can't get my old MCE remote to work with R6.

Let's say I just decide to throw money at the problem and get a Streamzap instead.

How can I get LinHES to reconfigure to use a Streamzap instead, given that I upgraded to MythTV 0.22 and thus lost the LinHES service menu?

Code:
echo 'include "/usr/MythVantage/templates/remotes/streamzap/lircrc"' > ~mythtv/.lircrc

should do it. You may have to do this as root or delete first, as .lircrc is a symlink to /etc/lircrc.

P.S. I updated to 0.22 and didn't lose the service menu.

Mike,

While 0.22 still has the service menu, the MythVantage stuff does not work (yet).

Thanks for the pointers, I'll give it a shot.

Thanks Nathan. Just assumed that if it were there it must work. Obviously I do all of that stuff manually :-)

Just a follow-up: I did get a Streamzap and it's working, but in addition to modifying ~mythtv/.lircrc, I also had to modify /etc/lircd.conf and make it read:

Code:
include "/usr/share/lirc/remotes/streamzap/lircd.conf.streamzap"

Thanks for the tip. Upgraded to Mythtv .22 (inadvertently) and your suggestions fixed my new remote issues.
