Mythfrontend will not start

Post subject:  Mythfrontend will not start
So after running pacman the other day and updating my system, I was poking around in the Service Menu to see if anything was new. I did not make any changes aside from installing Miro and now mythfrontend will not start. X starts fine, and I can bring up an xterm, but mythfrontend starts, but then crashes after a few seconds.
I get this error in messages.log;

I tried a backup xorg.conf but that had no affect but to change 1280 to 1920 and 720 to 1080. (Standard def tv does not like playing for me at the 1080i my set can do so I use 720)
I think this was because I went through the display settings in Service Menu, but I did not change anything there. So, how do I recover from this?

I added this mode line:
Modeline "1280x720" 74.48 1280 1384 1424 1646 720 725 730 750 -hsync +vsync
and the errors went away but it mythfrontend will not start.

running mythfrontend from an xterm I get this:

I had a similar problem, but don't know if this will work for you.

I fixed with a mythstream removal.
