I haven't seen any posts on this so I am guessing it isn't common.

I have recently updated to R6.03 and it seems to be working nicely. One thing I have noticed is that when playing music the song information in the main window does not get updated once full screen visualizations start. Whether advancing normally after a song completes or skipping forward - if you escape back to the music library screen, the song, artist and album are still listed as the song which was playing before the visualizations started. If you skip forward songs before visualizations start everything is updated normally. The particularly odd thing about it is the time index is properly updated.

Is this an artifact from converting an R5.5 system to R6? Could it be an X configuration problem?

The only thing I can find in the logs (so far) that might be related are "Read frame failed" messages in mythfrontend.log that seem to correspond with song changes.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

So after playing with it a bit more (and getting a few nights decent sleep) it appears the problem only occurs when the visualizations are running. Eg. Start playing a song, visualizations start, song changes (manual or automatic progression), then when you ESC out of the visualization screen the display information is for the first song. Skipping a song or selecting a new song (or even pausing/playing the current song) does update the info. I have a VFD attached and it always indicates the correct song info. I will begin playing with the graphics settings and post again if I make any progress.

I have tried changing between OpenGL and Qt with the same results. I have also changed the theme to the default from the LinHES theme just to make sure. Album art is updating properly and the OSD song info is correct but the original song info is still listed in the player window. I haven't been able to find anything related to this issue and my log files look pretty clean (nothing apparently related to this). Guess it isn't worth the effort and I will just have to hope LinHES 7 resolves the issue.
