I installed 6.03 ok w/hdhomerun working. now i want to install another capture device.
Where do i start the backend configuration - it's not obvious to me!

I installed 6.03 ok w/hdhomerun working. now i want to install another capture device. Where do i start the backend configuration - it's not obvious to me!

alt + h for help. 
Stop the backend (alt + 2 -- or is it alt + 1? I forget which.) alt + s for mythtv-setup Alternatively, from the command line... Code: $ sudo sv stop mythbackend && mythtv-setup
Restart the backend with alt + 3 when done configuring. |

These days if you just do Alt-S, the setup util is smart enough to ask and shutdown the BE for you. Then it's just a small matter of restarting it after you're done. |

I don't know if I trust the auto backend shutdown. One time it got funky on me and the solution was to kill and start the backend. Btw 1 to start 2 to kill and 3 to restart. |
