It would be good if the stats page included the time spent playing as well as recording. I have a habit of recording stuff that I never get time to watch, and then there are shows I set recording for my young son that he doesn't always watch or has grown out of. Also for 2-3 years I used to record the news on five different channels for my brother-in-law who wanted a particular type of footage for a project he was working on.
So the percentage of watched versus recorded would be pretty low in our house.

My system is on 24/7 with two HD recorders. The high episode count is somewhat skewed in the sense my kids are using my system more as a modern Video on Demand system. They record every episode of what they might want to watch and then select the shows they want. Even more so lately so a year from now my episode stats might double.

I think too my older usage is skewing down the % time spent recording. I note my recorders are often on simultaneously likely due to the kids VoD practice.

I put episode limits on all the kids shows. Helps to keep accurate stats, but also minimises unnecessary recorder activity. Some kids shows have 3 to 4 episodes a day.

A few years back, i use to keep the 10 most recent Simpsons episodes, which would skew the stats a bit, bit u have since changed that. I've also changed my Simpsons rule to not record previously recorded episodes. Use to like watching simpsons not matter what the vintage, now i just don't have time.
