Post subject:  Commercial Autoskip Runs But Does Nothing after 7.4 Upgrade
Hi,

I just upgraded to LinHES R7 and almost everything is working except the commercial autoskip doesn't actually flag the commercial breaks and automatically skip them. It seems to me like the jobs are running (I think) but they just don't do anything. I've been using Knoppmyth and LinHES since 2005 and have never had to tinker with the commercial autoskip; it's always just worked, so I'm not even sure where to start in diagnosing this. Thanks for any help.

Pick a recording and see if there is a cut list for the commercials. If they are marked then you will know if the commercial detection is working or not.

It's strange. It seems I've solved this. I went to Myth Configuration, Setup, Video, Playback, and found the commercial skip settings (page 8 of 8) and somehow it wasn't on Auto-Skip. After that change, the commercials started being skipped. However, when I'm viewing a recording and press E to bring up the editing tool, I don't see any cut list at all, even on a recording that is clearly flagged and (now) skipping fine. Good enough for me.
