We need a Pacman GUI for those of us with dyslexic tendency's. If there is one out there anything like Synaptic Package Manager. In years gone by the first program that I installed to a new system was Synaptic Package Manager. It always provided me with a lot of information that I wasn't able to easily find else ware. two things 1 LinHES is supposed to be an appliance version of MythTV that's the reason that everything is so limited. If you make it easier for a novice to install more applications they are more likely to run into stability problems that our Linux Gurus don't have time to fix. We need our Linux Gurus (I'm not one) working on important stuff like features and whatever the latest version of MythTV is. 2 We are tinkerers that's why we chose Linux, when I have tinkered with LinHES I usually end up regretting it. The good news is that Linux will let you do whatever you want, whenever you want, however you want , wherever you want. If you want to install a GUI go ahead, even better document your adventure here so that more can follow in your footsteps. You might even want to tinker with installing MythTV on a full blown Linux like Arch that might be more your speed. 3 I know I said two things but I lied.
