I'm on 7.4 with a master/slave backend setup. I had 3 PVR150s in each. I took them out and added a Ceton InfiniTV 4 PCIe to each. I deleted all tuners with the delete all function. I deleted my schedule source, added the tuners and re-added SchedulesDirect & ran mythfilldatabase. I have all channels and can watch live TV. I can hit R to record and have all 4 tuners recording at once with no problem. The problem is my schedule shows no upcoming recordings. I can see all the schedule and it even shows what has been previously recorded. If I select a show that I know is scheduled it says it isn't and I can't schedule it. If I remove the tuner config from the slave and reboot the master all my upcoming recordings come back and everything seems to work like it should. I've run the optimize database script also. When I run "mythbackend --testsched -v schedule --loglevel debug" I get this when it's broken: http://pastebin.com/WisXj1QP I can run the same thing with the slave tuner config removed and it looks good. ?? |

When you go into OK I know that the Ceton shows up in the system as a network device. are the two Ceton cards conflicting on the network? Try uninstalling the card in the slave box and see if that fixes it. |

No, they aren't. I can start live tv and hit R for record and have all 8 recording at once. Just removing the config from the slave tuners and rebooting the master makes the scheduled programs start working again. The Cetons are on their own subnet and don't communicate over the network with the IP. My network is 192.168.0 and theirs is 192.168.200. I have the card IPs set at 1 and 2. The symptoms were the same with the cards both set at the same default IP. |

Your existing recording schedules may be keyed to particular devices, sources or inputs. I remember running into something like this with 6.04 after rearranging my recoding devices and video sources. The simplest answer at the time was to write down the schedule details, delete and re-add them. There are some other more exotic possibilities, but that would be where I'd start. |

I tried that. No luck. |

Run setup (Alt-S) and look through your sources and inputs to make sure you don't have any funky settings. Anywhere you see "live" or "recording" may be something that is configured differently for those two scenarios. Also go through the setup under the services menu to look for things like recording profiles that are different for the two. |

I tried that. Deleted all and re-setup. Thanks for the quick reply. One odd thing I noticed is that the tuner numbers keep getting larger as I add and remove them unless I do a "delete all". The only other odd thing I noticed is the GUI on the master shows the slave tuners as not ready but the command line shows them as ready, they work for live TV and MythWeb show them ok. |

Are you remembering to add back the input connections when you delete and readd? OBTW - the numbering only resets if you delete all globally. |

Yes I did. It all works perfectly once I delete the slave's tuner config and reboot. If I delete all and add everything back in it's broken. If I delete all and add in just the master backend stuff it works. Adding the tuners to the slave causes the error in the link in the first post. The error goes away when I remove the slave tuners' setup. |

I used to run into all sorts of strange problems just like this when my root partition would grow to nearly 100% full. Have you checked that out as a possibility? |

On the master I have 86% use/649MB free on / slave 81% use/860MB free on / That's a good thing to check though. Thanks! I've been fighting this for a while and can't seem to contact anyone that can help so far. Help! |
