| Post subject: | pacman update of core packages fails |
Wanted to see if there were any new packages available so ran pacman -Syu and recieved the following: Code: :: Synchronizing package databases... error: failed retrieving file 'core.db' from bits.linhes.org : Connection time-out error: failed to update core (download library error) extra is up to date :: Starting full system upgrade... resolving dependencies... looking for inter-conflicts... No errors in the pacman.log but looks like it can't sync the core I looked in Code: http://bits.linhes.org/repo/x86_64/core/ and the file does exist. Have done several pulls prior to this to add uninstall software, but this is the first time I've seen this error. |

Ran this again today and it's working correctly. Have no idea why. |

You might have caught it during an update. When that occurs the core.db file is removed and recreated. |
