I have an issue and I need some help. I have changed my router address (default was 192.168.1.1). I have dome this before years ago when we were running Knoppmyth/Debian and it was very easy. I am missing something here however...

All machines on the network come up fine (DHCP assigns addresses correctly); my myth backend sees the change (have tried both running systemconfig.py manually and running it via the network setup in the linHES setup ui) - resolv.conf is correct. However, my browser (firefox) can't see the internet. Browsers on other machines on the network (both linux and windows) work fine. I can ping the box from other machines (reply is correct) and can ping others from my backend machine (replies are correct).

My frontend machines see the backend fine and work correctly... My problem is just the browser (I think)... What have I missed?

Can you successfully do an nslookup from that machine?

If that works then check the network setup in Firefox - / Options / Advanced / Network / Connections / Settings

NSLOOKUP was one of the first tests run - it is correct (reflects the changes made). This is what is baffling me. Both Firefox and Chrome are acting the same way. I have looked at the network settings (even hit the reset button) - no effect. It is as if there is some proxy setting somewhere in the Myth box that is stopping this...

There is a file (/etc/net/ifaces/eth0/ipv4route) that had to be changed to reflect the new gateway address. I assume that this file is set during initial install (when the script asks for gateway address?). Does anybody know a better way to resolve (other than manually editing it)?

As I recall you can use Network in the LinHES service menu.

That is what I thought/expected but not there... I thought the system would query DHCP and reset all data (including gateway address) but it doesn't. Also tried cmd line (systemconfig.py -m network) but still no update...
