I have always had trouble with the pointer arrow disappearing, but with the advent of Chrome web browsing that really works (thank you, thank you, thank you!), this has become more of an issue.
How do you enable the mouse pointer to be visible all the time in the web browser like on a pc?

Thanks,
/Chris

Alt+u also works.

For a list of other shortcuts try Alt+h.

So if you use your mouse in LinHES outside of MythTV you probably know that there is a tiny app called unclutter that makes your mouse disappear. Well if you want the mouse to stay on the screen longer or need less shaking to wake him up just.....
Make a new file called /etc/unclutter.cfg and give it these two parameters
Code:
idle=30
jitter=50

jitter and idle are what you want to pay attention to . For example I set my jitter to 50 and my idle to 30. That makes the mouse stay on the screen for about 30 second after you stop moving it. lowering the jitter length means that I don't have to move the mouse as far on screen to wake it up or keep it from falling asleep.

Indeed - as you predicted, I needed that piece of information as well.
My deepest bow!
