Hi,
So I was working on changing my office computer into a DVR since my wife and I use laptops mostly now for our work. Right now I currently use Just regualr Arch with JWM window manager. Will LinHES limit anything as far as customization of the distro config files, kernel optimizations, etc. I recently bought a ceton infinitv 4 quad cable card tuner and am excited to use it. Right now my system boots up in about just over a second and I would like to keep it that way. I am excited to try out this flavor of Arch.

LinHES is not Arch by any stretch of the imagine. It is a highly customized distro based on Arch. If you want an appliance, use LH. If you want a full featured distro, use Arch.

Oh that is nice to know I was having a horrible time setting up mythtv earlier today on a regular arch installation. I am kind of just looking for something to work right now until I can learn more about the mythtv installation. hmm are there any distros that are Arch that have a PVR setup?
