I have an 8.1.1 box, pretty much 'as installed' from the CD. Everything works well except it doesn't show up 'plug and play' on the (house internal) network for streaming the video files to other machines for recording or playing (WD player) Mythweb works, the machine can get to the outside network for mythfilldatabase, This function works on all the Mythbuntu machines. What am I missing on setup of this feature ? |

Samba or Nfs depends on the network, also it needs to be configured... |

Did you go into Service Menu->LinHES settings->File Sharing and turn on "File sharing using NFS" and "File sharing using SMB" ? Also these use Universal Plug and Play. Make sure that's enabled on your other computer and the router/switch. |
