Update - You are correct - while it does delete from the server, within a period of time it is restored. Oh well, guess I will have to use the "watched/unwatched" flag on plex and manually delete on the backend. That is going to be a real problem...

FWIW KODI deletes the recordings correctly with MythTV backend. But I don't think there is an app for KODI.
