In mythtv setup > transcoders there was a box you could check to select 'lossless transcode'. I've been using this to remove excess recording time from the beginning and end of my recordings, since broadcasters seem to play very loosely with their published broadcast times for programs. That box is no longer present in current mythbackend v29.1. A google search revealed a thread at lists.gt.net in October 2017 that discussed this; 'Jonathan Lindblad' stated that this was something he broke in the user GUI and would fix 'when he got a chance'. Do we know when/if this will be fixed? Is there a workaround (I don't know how to set up a script for a user job yet)? |
