How can I make XYMON stop reporting its alerts on my front-end. I like that I can monitor stuff on the LINHES webpage but having messages pop up from time to tim when I am watching a movie can be annoying. |

I disabled the orphan one years ago because it kept popping up. I think you can do it across the board, but you may just want to do it with the nuisance ones in case a major issue occurs (I added cputemp to xymon and it has successfully notified me several times that cpu temps got high due to a process utilizing 100% cpu as an example). When you have xymon open in a web browser, there is an Admininstration heading at the top and it will drop down to where you can select Enable/Disable. This will take you to a page where you can see "Select what to disable" on the right hand side. It appears that you must select an end date. Mine is disabled till 2025, but I can only disable until 2024 now, so I don't know if it is limited to 5 years now or if there is something I'm missing. You should be able to get it to be quiet on your screen for quite a while anyway. |

FYI, I am not sure if it will continue to log the information for you to analyze, so I would recommend double-checking it. |
