Post subject:  Several mythtv database tables are not found

Hello,

MythWeb is reporting the following mythtv database tables are not found:

Quote:
Table Name: channel
Status: File './mythconverg/channel.MYD' not found (Errcode: 2 - No such file or directory)

Table Name: users
Status: Can't find file: 'users' (errno: 2 - No such file or directory)

Table Name: videocategory
Status: Can't find file: 'videocategory' (errno: 2 - No such file or directory)

Table Name: videocountry
Status: Can't find file: 'videocountry' (errno: 2 - No such file or directory)

Table Name: videogenre
Status: Can't find file: 'videogenre' (errno: 2 - No such file or directory)

Table Name: videometadata
Status: File './mythconverg/videometadata.MYD' not found (Errcode: 2 - No such file or directory)

Table Name: videometadatacast
Status: File './mythconverg/videometadatacast.MYD' not found (Errcode: 2 - No such file or directory)

Table Name: videopart
Status: File './mythconverg/videopart.MYD' not found (Errcode: 2 - No such file or directory)

I googled and have not found a command that will 'fix' these errors. I have tried the repair, extended check and optimize commands; however, the errors remain.

I suspect the next option is to replace the mythtv database (all tables) or just the missing datatables that cannot be found.

I was wondering if someone could confirm that the above errors cannot be resolve by a single/few command(s) or if the mysql database/tables need replacement/restoring.

If database replacement/restoring is needed, I will appreciate a link that describes how to do this task.

Any assistance will be appreciated.

Cheers!

To restore your database, put your_mythtv ip address in your browser.
That will take you to the LinHes home page.

Select Health & Maintenance from list on the left. Click on the name of you LinHes backend. That will take you to yourbackend (Master_backend) page. Click the "Restore Database" button then use the pull down to select the date of the database you want to restore. (The most recent one will be displayed) Once the database is selected scroll to the bottom of the page and select GO.

The process will take awhile so sit back and relax. You can watch the disk usage light on the server. If your want. When the process finally finishes it will come back to your browser and say it's finished.

The process also stops and restarts the backend so when its finished your ready to go.
