Does the frontend and backend version need to match?
I have installed r6.01 on a full stand alone box. Trying to install R6 frontend on a AA but it won't boot past the "Configuring kernel...." text on the yellow screen. Ready to just give up
and use R5.5 on the frontend. I've read in some forums that version mismatch causes database corruption(?)
Here is some detail on what happens:
If I chose the init option in grub I can see where it crashes --"load-modules.sh" and something about a recursive error requiring a reboot. I have no way of posting the screen other than taking a picture with a cell phone
